Chimpanzee trekking
Chimpanzee trekking in Uganda offers an exciting opportunity to explore lush rainforests like Kibale Forest National Park, Murchison Falls, and Queen Elizabeth National Park, where expert guides lead small groups through the forest to observe chimps swinging and playing in their natural habitat. Kibale Forest is the premier destination, with a high chance of sightings (around 90%) and trekking excursions typically departing in the early morning and afternoon. Visitors spend about an hour with the chimps, experiencing their lively behavior while enjoying the rich biodiversity of the forest environment. Trekking permits are required and the activity is led by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers to ensure safe and respectful encounters
