5 Days Kibale & Bwindi
Day 1 - Transfer to Kibale National Park
Upon arrival at Entebbe airport, guests are met by our guide who accompany them on the approximately 5 to 6-hour drive to Kibale National Park. The journey heads west past Mityana town with a stopover in Fort Portal town for lunch. Arriving in Kibale in the late afternoon, settle into your accommodation at the Chimpanzee Forest Guest House, where they enjoy dinner and overnight rest. This day is primarily about transit and preparing for the primate adventure ahead.

Day 2 - Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale National Park
After breakfast, the day begins with a briefing at the park headquarters, followed by chimpanzee trekking near Kanyanchu. The trek can last several hours depending on the location of the chimpanzees, providing an exciting opportunity to observe chimpanzees and other primates like golden monkeys, baboons, and colobus monkeys in their natural forest habitat.
In the afternoon, embark on a guided nature walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, which offers excellent birdwatching and butterfly spotting. Dinner and an overnight stay in Kibale wrap up this enriching day.
Day 3 - Transfer to Bwindi National Park
After breakfast, the journey continues with a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to mountain gorillas. The drive takes about 3 to 4 hours, often passing through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park where one might spot wildlife such as tree-climbing lions. Upon arrival in Bwindi, travelers check into Wag Tail Eco Safari Camp, relax, and prepare for the next day's gorilla trekking experience. Dinner and overnight accommodation are provided here.

Day 4 - Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
Start early with breakfast, receive a briefing at the park headquarters before embarking on a gorilla trek. The trek duration can vary from 2 to 8 hours through thick forest, but the reward is spending up to an hour observing a habituated gorilla family.

The afternoon may include options such as visiting the local Batwa community, exploring nearby nature trails like the Munyanja River Trail with bird and butterfly watching, or simply relaxing at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay round out the day.
Day 5 - Return to Kampala or Entebbe Airport
On the final day, after breakfast, drive back to Kampala or Entebbe, with stops en route for lunch and possibly a visit to the Equator for photography. The drive takes about 7 to 8 hours, concluding the memorable safari with drop-off at the airport for onward flights or departures.
