3 Days Rwanda Gorilla tour
Day 1 - Arrival and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, guests are picked up by our driver-guide and driven approximately two and a half hours to Volcanoes National Park. This scenic drive offers beautiful views of the Virunga Mountains and surrounding landscapes. Upon reaching the park, guests check in to the Mountain Gorilla View Lodge or a similar accommodation. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax and prepare for the upcoming gorilla trekking experience. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.
Day 2 - Gorilla Trekking and Cultural Tour
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla safari rules and safety. The trek into the lush forest, guided by experienced rangers, can take between 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorillas’ location. Once you find the habituated gorilla family, spend up to one hour observing and photographing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat.
In the afternoon, visitors may opt for a cultural visit to Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village, where they learn about local traditions, community life, and enjoy traditional dances. Dinner and overnight at the lodge conclude the day.
Day 3 - Golden Monkey Tracking and Departure to Kigali: The final day includes early breakfast followed by golden monkey tracking in the park, an exciting primate encounter with these playful animals leaping through bamboo and forest trees. After the tracking experience and a return to the lodge for refreshments, guests depart Volcanoes National Park for the drive back to Kigali. This drive may include stops for lunch or souvenir shopping before arrival in Kigali for flights home or onward travel.
